ABOVE ARE THE LINKS TO THE NHS AND GOVERNMENT SITES ON THE UPDATED CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

BARTON FAMILY PRACTICE IS MOVING TO REDUCE patients coming  TO THE PRACTICE AND IS TRIAGING ALL CALLS AND WHERE POSSIBLE CARRYING OUT CONSULTATIONS OVER THE TELEPHONE. IF OUR PATIENTS NEED TO BE SEEN THE ON-CALL DOCTOR WILL ARRANGE THIS.

PLEASE DO NOT COME DOWN TO THE SURGERY AT ALL IF YOU OR ANY of YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS A FEVER OR COUGH - THIS IS VITALLY IMPORTANT - WE HAVE TO PROTECT ALL OUR CLINICIANS AND STAFF SO THAT WE CAN RUN THE SURGERY TO ADDRESS ALL OUR PATIENTS NEEDS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING

AT THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME.

Who are we?  BARTON VOLUNTEER NETWORK  BVN

Barton Volunteer Network is a group (supported by the Parish Council, ESBC and Staffordshire County Council) to help our vulnerable At Riskneighbours and friends in Barton under Needwood during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

The aim is to help you maintain your social distance in the crisis and not to leave you on your own. The volunteers will be your neighbours and friends or will be known to your neighbours or friends. We also have the support of some key resources in the village such as Barton Family Practice, Mercer Farming, Well Pharmacy and the Co-op.

What are we here to do?

The BVN is here to support you with several things:

Arranging for somebody to get some shopping for you

  •  Arranging for somebody to collect your prescription.

Arranging for somebody to call you for a friendly chat, linking you with other people in the same situation.

Making sure anybody who offers you help has identification from us.

Seeking general advice but note this is not a coronavirus helpline. For such contact the NHS 111 service https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19.

    How do you contact us?

phone on our dedicated number 07931 526723 which will be manned 24 hours a day you will reach a parish councillor or borough councillor.

     • e-mail bunvn2020@gmail.com.

When the surgery is closed please call free phone 111 for access to GP and other appropriate services.
